Sung Joon made his acting debut in 2011 by appearing in the drama TV series ‘White Christmas’. He also did the drama ‘Lie to Me’ and the variety show ‘Show! K Music’ that year. A year later, he did the flick ‘Dangerously Excited’ as well as the television programs ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band’, ‘Drama Special – Wetlands Ecology Report’ and ‘Can We Get Married?’ Around this time, Sung Joon also contributed to the tracks ‘Jaywalking,’ ‘Wake Up’, ‘Words You Shouldn't Know’ and ‘Today.’

After this, he was cast as Jo Dong-Wook in the movie ‘Horror Stories 2’ in 2013. That year, he also played Gon in the drama ‘Gu Family Book’. He became a part of the variety show ‘Miracle Korea’ the same year. From 2014 to 2016, the actor appeared in a handful of television series including ‘I Need Romance 3’, ‘Discovery of Love’, ‘Hyde, Jekyll, Me’, ‘High Society’ and ‘Madame Antoine’.
