She sent Sedgwick County Commissioner, Karl Peterjohn, a bill of US$2500 when he decided to crash a fundraiser and left without donating anything. She also appeared on the ‘Susan’s Boots’ ad in 2016, supporting Mike’s Congressional campaign.

While she may not have political aspirations of her own, she has high hopes for women in politics and has been diligently promoting female Republican leadership in Kansas. To that end, she has been working with the ‘Dwight D. Eisenhower Excellence in Public Service Series’.

Her steadfast support of her husband continued when Mike Pompeo was sworn in by President Donald Trump as the ‘Director of Central Intelligence Agency’ on January 23, 2017. She even volunteered to become the ‘Honorary Chair’ of the ‘Family Advisory Board’, a role that earned her praise for her work with agencies and families.
