Svea Frantzich Biography

Svea Frantzich originally gained recognition on social media as the youngest sibling of Jonah Marais, who rose to fame on YouNow in 2014 and later went on to form the boy band Why Don't We with Corbyn Besson, Jack Avery, Zach Herron, and Daniel Seavey in September 2016. Svea has occasionally appeared in pictures and videos on her famous brother’s social media profiles and the two siblings’ interactions quickly endeared her to his fans. For instance, whenever she was around, Jonah would often torment her by mentioning the name of the boy she had a crush on.

Svea Frantzich joined Twitter in December 2017 and used the account mostly to promote her brother and his band. However, she also often took to Twitter to complain about his brother or his band mates for ignoring her or to clarify who she was crushing on at the time. She made her first Instagram post on December 24, 2018 in which she shared a picture of herself with the caption “First Instagram post ever! Hello people”. Since then, she has continued to share pictures on the platform covering, for the most part, her trips to exotic destinations, her involvement in outdoor activities while enjoying nature, her fondness for various animals including her pets, as well as selfies with friends and family members. Svea Frantzich has already gathered over 90K followers on her Instagram profile @imsveamarie despite not being active recently.

Svea Frantzich describes herself as a nature girl, animal lover, cake baker and chicken owner on various social media platforms like Instagram and Cameo. It is evident also from her Instagram feed as a large number of her posts are dedicated to nature photos and pictures of various animals. On her second Instagram post, she introduced her dog Sawyer, which also has a separate Instagram account with over 36K followers. She handles the account and regularly posts pictures of the dog along with captions written from the dog’s perspective. The family later took in another pet dog named Nula, which also has a separate Instagram profile. Furthermore, she has a bunch of pet chickens and has shared several pictures of them. Once, while sharing pictures of a rescued a baby cormorant at the beach, she mentioned that she learned how to take care of birds thanks to her chickens. At other times, she has posted pictures of herself holding an albino python and or a fox cub. She also loves outdoor activities in nature like surfing, rowing, horse riding, and rock climbing. She once posted several pictures of pandas, peacocks and ducks from her trip to the Panda Research Base in Chengdu, China.

Svea Marie Frantzich was born on March 21, 2007 in Stillwater, Minnesota, United States to Timothy and Carrie Frantzich. Her father is a performing musician and teacher, while her mother is a certified nurse and midwife. Her great-grandmother had come to the United States from Finland. She is the youngest of four children of her parents and has brothers Zebulon (born December 26, 1991) and Jonah (born June 16, 1998), and sister Esther (born March 31, 2000).

Her mother is a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed with the disease in July 2013. Everyone in her family is musically gifted and often sang at gatherings like fairs and churches. In fact, her father and her uncle, Paul Frantzich, were part of a few Minneapolis bands before forming the singer-songwriter duo called “The Brothers Frantzich”, through which they have released several albums. Her brother Jonah later gained popularity as a musician for his involvement with the musical group “Why Don't We”. Svea often performs with her father and is also part of the basketball program at her school.
