During her tour with Taylor Caniff she got a lot of exposure and also came up on the news as his rumored girlfriend.

Taylor Alesia's pictures on Instagram inspire many of her fans on fashion and lifestyle. On YouTube she often shares with her fans incidents from her life in video blogs tagged 'Story Time'. In one of these videos she showed her followers pictures of a fan who is apparently obsessed with her; she wears the exact clothes as Alesia and follows her wherever she goes. In another video she shared with her fans her experience of dating a guy in junior school who one night ended up breaking into her room while she was asleep.

Taylor Alesia's name came up on the news when her friend and Vine star Taylor Caniff revealed in an interview to San Diego TV station that they were not dating and that Alesia is not his girlfriend. During the RV tour, they travelled around for some time and were close to each other. Fans were speculating about their relationship for some time already, and the interviewers specifically asked him about Taylor Alesia. He, however, insisted that he is single and not dating anyone. Alesia, on the other hand, was not very pleased with his interview. She came out to her fans about their relationship and revealed that she had proofs of them being in a relationship. She later posted on Twitter a picture of them kissing on a beach. The picture was supposedly taken a week or two before their tour ended. According to Alesia, Caniff had promised to keep in touch and to take her to Texas. However, she felt ignored as he stopped contacting her, and later she learned that he took his ex-girlfriend Ashley Wilson to his Texas tour. Accepting that they were not dating 'officially', she also assured that they had been talking on and off for about 8 months. Things got even worse when Alesia claimed that Caniff and his manager pressurized her to keep the relationship a 'secret'. Caniff, however, responded by claiming that Alesia is a fame seeking liar. Alesia later revealed in a tweet that Caniff had threatened to sue her for posting the picture of them kissing.

Alesia was also in a relationship with another social media personality, Mikey Barone, thought they broke up later. Interestingly, Mikey once indirectly accused her for not being a nice person. While a fan of Alesia commented on how sweet she is, and another responded "no she's not", Mikey 'faved' the latter comment to show acquiescence.

Another time Taylor Alesia courted controversy was when she insinuated that YouNow star brothers Nash Grier and Hayes Grier smoke suspicious cigarettes. She posted on her YouNow live stream a private snap of Nash smoking something. She also posted another picture of Nash's brother Hayes smoking. Hayes, in response, tweeted that he doesn't smoke at all, but then deleted the tweets. Even though the whole incident stirred a controversy, some of their fans didn't see it as much of an issue, and criticized Alesia for seeking attention in a cheap way. Alesia, however, apologized later in a tweet stating that it was not her place to say anything and that she doesn't mean any disrespect to them.
