Career

Prior to starting her career as a reality TV star, Lee used to work as a concert promoter. She debuted on ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ in its very first season in 2012, making a cameo appearance as one of the attendees at Rasheeda’s listening party. Four years later, she returned in a supporting role in the season five premiere, ‘Of Kings and Queens’. Besides feuding with Tiarra Becca, she also had a hostile relationship with Joseline Hernandez, which apparently became so volatile that Lee tried to run her down with a car.

In season six, Lee earned a spot among the main cast of the show. The season documented the launch of her wine brand, Le'Don. However, Lee has battled alcoholism for a long while and this ended up making everything more difficult. Her excessive drinking persisted in front of the camera in season seven as well and it not only soured her relationship with her family but also jeopardized her potential career as a rapper.

Lee made an appearance in the main series, ‘Love & Hip Hop’ (New York), in 2018. She has also been featured in another VH1 reality show ‘Leave It to Stevie’. In January 2017, she released her first rap track, ‘Payback’.

Controversies & Scandals

In October 2018, Lee was arrested for aggravated assault, simple battery, and first-degree child cruelty after she shoved her daughter’s head into a school locker. She subsequently had to pay a $27k bond to get out of the police custody. However, only 24 hours later, she was arrested again for stalking the girl.

Tommie Lee was born on June 19, 1984, in New Jersey. Her mother’s name is Samantha. She has two brothers, Tahaan and Reggie, and two sisters, Rajaysha and Versace. Lee has a very complicated relationship with her mother. While, over the course of the show, it has been shown that there is love between them, they can be downright hostile to each other at times. When Lee was a teenager, she ran away from her home. Her mother then proceeded to contact the juvenile police, which ultimately landed the younger woman in jail. Lee has stated that the imprisonment altered her entire life. She also has a complicated relationship with her sister, Versace. They reportedly have not spoken to each other for years. At some point, Lee moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

Lee encountered multiple issues as she was growing up. Since 2003, she has ended up in jail numerous times with charges like disorderly conduct, identity fraud, forgery, shoplifting, theft and battery. In one instance, she even hijacked a bus.

She was still a teenager when she became pregnant with her first child and was incarcerated at the time of the child’s birth. Lee named her Samaria. She later revealed that the prison officials did not pay much attention to her at the time of her delivery and she had to urinate on herself to get their attention. She never revealed the name of Samaria’s father and was highly reluctant to post any of her photographs on social media. However, Lee did share some pictures of her daughter on Instagram later. In the ensuing years, she had another daughter, whom she named Havalli.

Lee was previously in a relationship with rapper Scrapp Deleon, whose real name is William Cortez Robinson. The dynamics among Lee, Deleon, and Deleon’s former girlfriend Tiarra Becca, with whom he has a son, became one of the major storylines of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’. They have since broken up and Deleon was sentenced to five years in prison in 2016 after he pleaded guilty to marijuana trafficking. In September 2018, it was reported that he had been released from jail.

According to various reports, Lee is presently dating model and fashion designer, Ian Connor. Like Lee, Connor is plagued with multiple legal issues, including rape allegations from 21 different women.
