Verne Troyer was an American comedian, actor, and stunt performer. He was best known for playing the role of “Mini-Me”, Dr. Evil's smaller and pure evil protégé in the ‘Austin Powers’ movie series as well as for appearing in ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone’. Recognized as one of the shortest men in the world, Troyer was notable for having been 2 ft 8 in tall as a result of suffering from cartilage–hair hypoplasia. Born to Reuben, a repair technician, and Susan, a factory worker, he grew up with his two siblings in a middle-class home. He was raised by his parents just like a normal child and was never treated any different from his average-sized siblings. Troyer attended Centreville High School. Following graduation, he packed his bags for Arlington, Texas and went on to make his debut as a stunt double in the 1994 flick ‘Baby's Day Out’. He then went on to appear in many other popular movies. Coming to his personal life, the actor had been romantically involved with numerous women in the show business. In 2018, he died due to alcohol poisoning at the age of 49.
