Married Life

Veronica met John for the first time at a disco at the 'Maria Assumpta College' in 1971. They eventually began dating each other. After a few years of courtship, Veronica and John tied the knot. They got married on January 18, 1975, a day after the release of the 'Queen’ single ‘No I’m Here,’ at a Carmelite church on Kensington Church Street. Veronica was already 2 months pregnant then. Nigel Bullen, John’s former co-member of the Leicestershire band 'The Opposition,' was the “best man” at the wedding.

Veronica and John welcomed their first child, Robert, on July 18, 1975. On February 3, 1978, their second child, Michael, was born. Their third child, Laura, was born on June 25, 1979. Their fourth and fifth children were named Joshua and Luke, respectively. Veronica’s last child, Cameron, was born on November 7, 1993.

The family now lives in Putney, South West London.

Personal Life

Veronica is a devout Catholic. Her family was associated with the Catholic religious order known as the Carmelites, named after Mount Carmel, a coastal mountain range in northern Israel. Veronica is a strict follower of the orthodox branch of the Carmelite faith, which has had a huge impact on her lifestyle.

According to Nigel’s wife, Ruth, Veronica has a soothing personality. She is calm but firm in her beliefs. Veronica does not wear any makeup and prefers wearing plain clothes.
