Will Grier has also been awarded the name ‘Mr. Football USA’ for his skills as a footballer. He is a well-known American football quarterback and currently plays for West Virginia Mountaineers; previously he was associated with the Florida Gators. Will Grier was interested in American football since childhood and was a member of his school team also played in school. Will Grier began breaking records when he was just a junior at school as he threw 837 yards in a particular game and thus surpassed the previous record of 764. His journey as a footballer has been quite fascinating. Other than acquiring the title of Mr. Football USA, Will Grier was also named the Parade magazine player of the year. Rivals.com rated this footballer as a four star recruit plus and he also received the second best ranking as a dual-threat quarterback in his entire class. He was offered many scholarships to play on behalf of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Tennessee but he chose to play for the University of Florida. Career
Will Grier’s career in football took flight while he was in college in 2014. Grier and Treon Harris were competing be Jeff Driskel's backup as a freshman. In 2015, as a Redshirt freshman, he once again competed with Harris to be the starting quarterback. Although Harris started the first game, Grier too received playing time and made an impact, attempting 18 passes and completing 16 for 166 yards with two touchdowns. With his performance in the first game, Will Grier earned the chance to start the second game.
In the fourth game of his college career against the Tennessee Volunteers, he made a major impact and played an instrumental role in Gators 28–27 comeback victory. With 5 minutes left in the game, Gators were down 14-27. Grier threw 2 touchdowns to take the lead. He ensured the victory going 23 of 43 for 283 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
The game against the Ole Miss Rebels has been the best game of his career so far; he going 24 of 29 for 271 yards and four passing touchdowns. Gators won the game 38-10. In the game, Grier threw his four touchdowns in the first half and became the first Gator quarterback since Chris Leak in 2005 to accomplish the feat. In 2016, Grier shifted from Florida Gators to West Virginia University.

Controversies & scandals
All was going really well for Will Grier until he was tested positive in a PED (Performance Enhancing Drug) test. He was tested positive for the over-the-counter supplement Ligandrol. Grier pleaded innocence by claiming that he was not aware it was banned. NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) turned down his appeal and banned him until the sixth game of the regular season in 2016.

Will Grier was born on April 3, 1995, in Frankfort, Indiana, to Chad Grier and Elizabeth Floyd. His father is a football coach and was an outstanding quarterback for the East Carolina Pirates during his playing days. Will is the oldest of the four children and has two brothers and a sister. He married Jeanne O’Neil Grier in the year 2016 and the couple is blessed with a daughter, Eloise Marie Grier.
