William quickly started getting work in TV, films and commercials. He made his acting debut in the short film ‘Seven’s Eleven: Sweet Toys’ in which he played ‘Frankie.’
In the same year, he appeared in Nicholas Cage starrer ‘National Treasure: A Book of Secrets’ which was the prequel to 2004 film ‘National Treasure.’
He played ‘Charles Gates’ in the mystery adventure film. The film was a box office success, grossing over $457.4 million worldwide.
In 2008, he played ‘Young Rock Slyde’ in the comedy ‘Rock Slyde’ and ‘Young Chev Chelios’ in action comedy ‘Crank: High Voltage’ starring Jason Statham in the main role. He starred in another comedy film, titled ‘Opposite Day.’
Brent played ‘Samuel Sammy Benson’ in the film. In 2010, he played ‘Prince Charming’ in a low-budget film ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’
In the same year, he played Zack Taylor’ in comedy film ‘Monster Mutt.’ His brother Eric also played a role in the film.
In his next project, Brent was seen playing a character named ‘Ben Olsen’ in the comedy ‘You Again.’ The film starred Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Sigourney Weaver in lead roles but still received negative reviews from critics.
However, their individual roles were appreciated by audience. Brent was also loved for his portrayal of ‘Ben Olsen.’
He also played ‘Hatching Sammy’ in ‘A Turtle’s Tale: Sammy’s Adventures.’ In 2012, he starred as ‘Billy Stone’ in ‘The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone,’ film adaptation of the book of the same name by Bill Muir.

He also made an appearance in the series ‘Sonny With a Chance’ in the same year. In 2011, he portrayed ‘Troy Cotton’ in an episode of comedy-drama ‘No Ordinary Family.’
He lent his voice in two episodes of animated show ‘Fish Hooks.’ He did the voice over of a character named ‘Bradley “Brady”Kingstone.’
His most popular role came in ‘Disney XD’s series ‘Lab Rats’ in which he played the main role of ‘Chase Davenpourt,’ the youngest super-human bionic teen. He played ‘Chase’ in 90 episodes of the series that lasted from 2012 to 2016.
In 2012, he made another appearance in an episode of ‘Kickin’ It.’ He also appeared in an episode of teen sitcom ‘A.N.T Farm’ in the same year.
He reprised the role of ‘Chase Davenpourt’ in ‘Lab Rats: Elite Force’ in 2016.
