Career

William Levy started his career in the show biz industry as a model. He got signed by Next Models agency and was featured in two reality TV shows ‘Protagonistas de Novela 2’ and ‘Isla de la Tentación’ in the year 2003. Two years later, he performed in the play named ‘La Nena Tiene Tumbao’ that took place at the Centro de Bellas Artes of San Juan. The next year, the actor made his acting debut on television through Univision’s ‘Olvidarte Jamás’. He also did another show ‘Mi Vida Eres Tu’ dat year.

Then in 2007, the actor played a co-lead role in the television series ‘Acorralada’. He was also cast as a supporting actor for the series ‘Pasión’. The following year, Levy appeared as a protagonist in ‘Cuidado con el ángel’. After this, the Cuban-American star lent his voice to one of the characters of the animated movie ‘Planet 51’ (Spanish version). During that time, he also got the role of Alejandro Lombardo for the show ‘Sortilegio’.

From November 2009 to February 2010, William Levy toured a number of Mexican cities with his play ‘Un Amante a la Medida’. Later on, he got featured in the Mexican telenovela named ‘Triunfo del amor’. He then appeared in the music video of Jennifer Lopez’s ‘I'm Into You’. Then in the year 2013, the actor cum ex-model was cast for the series ‘La Tempestad’. The following year he did two films namely, ‘The Single Moms Club’ and ‘Addicted’. This was followed by two more movies, ‘Term Life’ and ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ in 2016. Currently, Levy is appearing on the television series ‘El camion de Joe’.

William Levy was born as William Levy Gutiérrez on August 29, 1980 in Cojimar, Havana, Cuba. Raised in a nonreligious household, he was nurtured by his single mother, Barbara. Levy attended high school and then went to St. Thomas University. He studied business administration in the university for just two years before dropping out to pursue an acting career. From the year 2003 to 2011, the actor was in a romantic relationship with Mexican-American star Elizabeth Gutiérrez. The couple had two children together, Christopher Alexander and Kailey Alexandra, before separating. On July 11, 2009, William Levy converted to Catholicism.
