Alexander Harper “Xander” Berkeley is an American actor known for his television roles as George Mason in ‘24,’ Sheriff Thomas McAllister in ‘The Mentalist,’ Gregory in ‘The Walking Dead’ and Percy Rose in ‘Nikita.’ He is also active in films and his notable movie projects include ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day,’ ‘Air Force One,’ ‘Sid and Nancy,’ and ‘Candyman.’ Interested in performing from childhood, Berkeley started acting while in school, performing with an experimental theater troupe which eventually shaped his acting skills. He then went to Hampshire College where he participated in the plays of the five-college system of which his college was a part. Berkeley later moved to Hollywood and began playing small and big screen roles in 1981. Since then, he has appeared in more than 90 films and over 70 television programs. He has also provided voices for a number of animated series including ‘Gargoyles’ and ‘Teen Titans.’ He is also a talented sculptor, painter, and makeup artist. Berkeley has been married to actress Sarah Clarke since 2002 and has two daughters.
