Zadie Hope Zamolo Bio

Los Angeles-born Zadie Hope Zamolo is the first child of her YouTube star parents, Rebecca and Matt.

It’s believed that Zamolo’s name was a result of her mom’s love for the letter “Z” and for the name Sadie. So, she combined the two and named her daughter “Zadie.”

Zadie’s parents, Rebecca and Matt, are known for their funny family and adventure vlogs, TikTok hacks, pranks, challenges, and DIY projects. Apart from their main channel, Matt Slays, they have two more channels: PawZam Dogs, dedicated to their rescue dogs, Blackjack and Peanut, and Game Master Network, which showcases funny detective content.

After announcing that they were expecting, Zadie’s parents posted regularly about how they were preparing to bring their new child into the world. They posted updates about moments leading up to Zadie’s birth.

In November 2021, they made gender reveal post on Instagram, relating how they had tried 3 girl eggs unsuccessfully earlier, to eventually get pregnant via IVF in their last try using a girl and a boy egg.

In March 2022, Rebecca and Matt posted a video celebrating Zadie’s birth. The video was set to an original song.

Though a toddler, Zadie already has a personal Instagram account with thousands of followers. Named zadiezamolo, the account features snippets from her life and is managed by her parents.

Zadie’s parents, Rebecca Zamolo and Matt Yoakum, are both well-known YouTube content creators. They got married back in 2014. Their family channel, earlier called Matt and Rebecca, is now known as Matt Slays, while Rebecca has her own YouTube channel too. Rebecca, has also been on the show Make It or Break It, while Matt has worked on music with Joshua David Evans.

In August 2021, Rebecca revealed she was pregnant. In November that year, Rebecca announced that she was expecting a baby girl. In February 2022, she gave birth to Zadie. Zadie is a rainbow baby, as she was born after Rebecca had had a miscarriage at 9 weeks with a previous pregnancy.
