José Juan Barea Mora is a former professional basketball player and current head coach for the Mets de Guaynabo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He played college basketball at Northeastern University before joining the Mavericks in 2006. Barea became the seventh Puerto Rican to play in the NBA and won an NBA championship with the Mavericks in 2011. He also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves for three seasons. Barea has experience in the NBA Development League and the Baloncesto Superior Nacional. He has represented Puerto Rico in various international competitions, winning gold and silver medals.
