Shea Whigham is an American actor known for appearing in several popular films, such as Fast & Furious, The Wolf of Wall Street, Joker, American Hustle, and Kong: Skull Island. He is credited with co-founding a theatre troupe called The Rorschach Group, which he co-founded early in his acting career.
Maddy Curley was initially part of the UNC-Chapel Hill gymnastics team. She later also starred in the gymnastics movies Stick It and Chalk It Up. In the film Terminator: Dark Fate, she performed as a body double for Linda Hamilton. She has also been part of the Teach for America campaign.
Elise Ray is a gymnast who represented the United States at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. At the games, she was the only American woman to qualify for an event final, balance beam. She had a very successful NCAA career post Olympics. In 2016, she became the head gymnastics coach at the University of Washington.
Former gymnast Brandy Johnson has a World Championship silver and has also been an Olympian. Post-retirement, she has been a stunt double in movies such as Bean. The USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame inductee now owns the Clermont-based Brandy Johnson's Global Gymnastics Academy. She also serves as a sports judge.
Religious leader Troy Perry founded the Metropolitan Community Churches, which caters specifically to the LGBTQ community. He lost his bootlegger father as a child and was sexually abused by his stepfather. His homosexuality caused him to attempt suicide, too. He later performed the first American same-sex wedding.
