Billy Ocean, a Trinidadian-born British singer and songwriter, achieved breakthrough success in 1976 with the single "Love Really Hurts Without You." He continued to release hit songs throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, including "Red Light Spells Danger" and "Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run)." Ocean won a Grammy Award in 1985 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. He received numerous awards and honors, including an honorary doctorate of music and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the MOBO Awards.
