British biologist Ian Wilmut revolutionized embryology by leading the team of researchers who successfully created the first cloned mammal, the sheep named Dolly. A leading proponent of cryopreservation, he also implanted the first calf embryo, Frostie, in a surrogate cow. He was later knighted for his achievements.

Charlie Elphicke is an English politician and former solicitor. He served as the Lord Commissioner of the Treasury from 2015 to 2016. A controversial politician, Elphicke was charged with sexual offenses against two women and was sentenced to two years in an open prison in 2020.

The current director-general of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom is an Ethiopian politician who has previously led his country as its minister of health and minister of foreign affairs. He scripted history as the first African to head the WHO. He is known for his efforts in resisting AIDS, Ebola, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anil Kakodkar is an Indian mechanical engineer and nuclear physicist who served as the director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) from 1996 to 2000. He is one of the core members of the team which conducted Pokharan II nuclear tests. Over the course of his career, Kakodkar has received several prestigious awards, such as the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.

Sukki Singapora scripted history as the first global burlesque performer from Singapore. Born to a British mother and an Indian father, who were both doctors, Singapora surprised everyone when she chose performing arts as a vocation. A feminist activist, too, she appeared in the Netflix series Singapore Social.

Sara Danius was a Swedish professor of literary studies and essayist. She is best remembered for writing about the relationship between society and literature and dealt with authors like Gustave Flaubert, Thomas Mann, and Marcel Proust. Over the course of her illustrious career, Sara Danius was honored with several prestigious awards like Gerard Bonnier's Essay Prize and Lena Nyman Prize.

Born in Kolkata, India, Bhasha Mukherjee moved to England as a 9-year-old kid. She later not only acquired a medical degree but also won the Miss England 2019 pageant, and later represented England at the Miss World contest. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, she returned to medical practice.

Civil engineer Reginald Coates initially served as a Royal Engineers officer during World War II. He later also taught at the University of Nottingham, before taking over the planning of the new building of the institute’s faculty of engineering. He also served the Institution of Civil Engineers as its president.

Arthur Carty is a Canadian academic best known for his service as Canada's national science advisor from 2004 to 2008. He was the country's first national science advisor and served under the prime minister. Prior to his role as science advisor, Arthur Carty was associated with the National Research Council, where he served as president from 1994 to 2004.
