Soviet sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko belonged to the Red Army during World War II and is believed to have killed over 300 people. Also known as Lady Death, she was awarded the Order of Lenin and was made a Hero of the Soviet Union. She later became a Soviet Navy researcher.

Jacqui Lambie is an Australian politician who was a senator for Tasmania from 2014 to 2017. she was re-elected in 2019. She was initially affiliated with the Palmer United Party (PUP). Following her resignation, she was an independent for a while. Today, she is the leader of her own political party, the Jacqui Lambie Network (JLN).

She was formerly married to Prince Louis of Luxembourg and was one of the most important members of the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg. Emilia Plater's story has inspired numerous works of art and literature and she is often seen as a symbol of women empowerment in Lithuania.

Agustina de Aragon was a Spanish warrior best remembered for her valiant effort while defending Spain during the Peninsular War. Nicknamed the Spanish Joan of Arc, Agustina served in the Spanish Army. Regarded as a heroine in Spain, Agustina de Aragón has been the subject of several stories, folklore, and artwork. Her life inspired the 1929 film Agustina of Aragon.

Ruby Bradley was a US Army Nurse Corps officer and one of the most celebrated women in the history of US military. She was a prisoner of war in Japan during the Second World War, for which she was honored with the Prisoner of War Medal. Ruby Bradley was also awarded many other medals, including the American Campaign Medal.

The daughter of Ukrainian immigrants in Israel, Avigail Alfatov has donned many hats already. Apart from being an Israeli fencing champion, she is also a beauty queen and has represented Israel in the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. She has also briefly served the Israeli Air Force.

Aleda E. Lutz was an American flight nurse who served in the United States Army during the Second World War. Lutz was the first woman from America to die in combat during the Second World War. One of the most decorated women in the U.S. military history, Aleda E. Lutz was honored with numerous prestigious awards and honors, including the Purple Heart.

Reba Z. Whittle was an American nurse who served in the US Army Nurse Corps during the Second World War. In 1944, she was part of the European Theater when her aircraft was shot down. She was injured during the crash and was honored with the Purple Heart in 1945. Reba Z. Whittle was also honored with the Air Medal.

Zapatista commander Margarita Neri was an integral part of the Mexican Revolution and a true guerrera. Known for her ruthless tactics of slaughter and looting, she led an army of more than 1000 soldiers through Tabasco and Chiapas, and fought like a man. Some believed she was an officer under Zapata.

Elsie Ott was an American nurse and a member of the Army Nurse Corps. Ott received the prestigious United States Air Medal for finding a way to shift the wounded soldiers to safety from the front line; she was the first woman to receive the medal.

Cordelia E. Cook was an American combat nurse who served in the US Army Nurse Corps during the Second World War. Cook was the first woman in the history of the US Army to receive both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal. After the war, Cordelia E. Cook worked as a nurse at Doctors Hospital North in Ohio.
