Tauheed Epps, better known by his professional name 2 Chainz, is a popular American rapper and hip hop artist. A native of Georgia, he began his musical career by forming the hip hop duo Playaz Circle, along with a high school friend. Their first album, ‘Supply & Demand’, was an average success. Epps later released ‘Based on a T.R.U. Story’, his debut studio album. Debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200, it became a tremendous success. It sold 147,000 copies within its first week itself! Ever since the success of this album, there has been no looking back for him and he rose to become one of the finest rappers in the US. He has been nominated for six Grammy awards so far, out of which he has won one, for his song ‘No Problem’. He kindled controversy in 2013, after he was arrested on board in a departing flight at the Los Angeles International Airport as his bag contained marijuana and promethazine. However, his brushes with the law haven’t affected his popularity much. His fourth studio album ‘Pretty Girls Like Trap Music’ was released in June 2017, followed by 'So Help Me God.' His seventh album 'Dope Don't Sell Itself,' was released in 2021.
