Kesha Ward met 2 Chainz in 2006 when he was still struggling to make a name for himself and was performing in the underground rapping circuit. She stood by the rapper through his marijuana and cocaine addiction days and her influence has been life-changing for 2 Chainz. As 2 Chainz started to make his mark on the music industry, more and more attention started to come towards Kesha. But she managed to surround herself in a veil of secrecy, not out of pride, but to maintain a normal life away from the prying eyes of media.

Their relationship took the next step when in July 2013, at the ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’, 2 Chainz asked Ward to marry him. She said “yes”, but due to unknown reasons, they never actually got married. However, this did bring the spotlight on Kesha in a way she had not faced before. Rumors even started spreading that the couple got married in a secret ceremony, even though that was never proven.

Consequently, she started the pre-school center of education for young children—‘A Gift From Heaven’—in Atlanta, Georgia. The purpose of the center is to provide affordable education to young kids, in a more creative and holistic manner so that they are prepared for all the challenges that lie ahead when they reach high school. Throughout the years, under the supervision of the CEO and Director, Kesha, the center has gained the reputation as one of the top pre-schools for children.

Added to that, Kesha also started realizing that the communities in the Southside of Atlanta, Georgia, and surrounding areas, needed help to survive and build a better future. This motivated her to partner with her husband, 2 Chainz, to start the ‘TRU Foundation’. Since its origin, the foundation has helped thousands to better their lives, create educational opportunities, and has provided aid to struggling African-American families in the neighborhood. With a more famous husband, who is constantly in the media spotlight, people often don’t know about her extraordinary achievements. And she prefers to keep it that way, to keep doing her work.

Although she stays away from prying media lenses, she does appear on the red carpet and award shows with her husband. In spite of being together for more than 12 years and having three children together, Ward has only been in the news a few times. On May 7, 2018, at the ‘Met Gala’ red carpet event, 2 Chainz completely took her by surprise as he got down on one knee and asked the mother of his three children to officially become his wife.

Contrary to the last lime, on August 18, 2018, the couple tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in ‘Villa Casa Casuarina’ in Miami. Besides the couple’s three children and family members, celebrity friends like Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne showed up to join in the celebrations. John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ played as Kesha Ward walked down the aisle. Additionally, the wedding reportedly cost more than US$ 30,000 and even featured a white tiger. It was a truly momentous occasion for the couple, who have managed to stand by each other, in an industry rife with news of break-ups and divorces.
