Martina Jones Biography

Martina Jones was born Swedish- American as her mother is from Sweden, while her father is an American. Martina had a tough childhood as her parents got separated when she was still very young. Soon after the birth of her children, Martina’s mother retired from her modeling career in order to raise her children. She then moved to Sweden along with her children, Quincy Jones III and Martina Jones. Hence, Martina grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, along with her brother Quincy Jones III. During her late teens, Martina returned to the United States to live with her father. Around this time, she attended dance classes, which inculcated in her an interest in showbiz.

Martina eventually became interested in modeling and hence decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She then started working towards achieving her goal and went on to become a successful model. She received her big breakthrough, when she was featured in the March 1994 edition of ‘Playboy Magazine.’ However, Martina later realized that her passion lies in photography, which prompted her to shift her attention towards photography. She loves capturing butterflies with her camera, which is quite evident in her Instagram page, which is packed with pictures of butterflies. In 2018, Martina was seen in a documentary film titled ‘Quincy.’ The documentary, which takes a look into the life of Quincy Jones, was directed by Alan Hicks and Martina’s half-sister, Rashida Jones. ‘Quincy’ won the ‘Best Music Documentary’ award at the 2018 ‘Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards.’ Martina had also lent her voice to one of the characters in the adventure-fantasy film ‘The Wiz.’

Martina Jones is close to her family members and often features them on her social media pages. She has several half-siblings from her father’s relationship with Jeri Caldwell, Peggy Lipton, Carol Reynolds, and Nastassja Kinski. Among her half-siblings, Rashida Jones and Kidada Ann Jones went on to become popular actresses. Martina often travels to Stockholm, where her mother currently lives. Apart from English, she speaks fluent Swedish. She is also close to her father, as he often gets featured on her Instagram page. She enjoys spending time at the gym, which keeps her in great shape. Martina Jones currently lives in the United States of America along with her pet dog Zuko.
