The glamor of the entertainment industry was nothing new to Olivia Washington, since she had been blessed with a Hollywood star father, Denzel Washington. In his expansive career as a stage and on-screen actor, Denzel has won several awards, including one ‘Tony Award,’ three ‘Golden Globe’ awards, and two ‘Academy Awards.’ Olivia’s mother, Pauletta Washington, is also an actor, known for films such as ‘Beloved’ (1998) and ‘Steps’ (2017). Olivia Washington was born Olivia Rashelle Washington, on April 10, 1991, in Los Angeles, California, US, to Pauletta and Denzel Washington. She was one of their twins, the other one being Malcolm Washington. Her parents met on the set of the TV film ‘Wilma,’ which marked her father’s first screen appearance. They got married on June 25, 1983. Olivia has three siblings: her older brother, actor and former American football running back John David Washington; her older sister, Katia; and her twin brother, Malcolm Washington, who graduated in film studies from the ‘University of Pennsylvania’. Olivia’s parents renewed their wedding vows in 1995, in South Africa, with Archbishop Desmond Tutu officiating the marriage.
